8th Annual Community Chest Challenge
A Team Triathlon Fundraiser for Athletes of All Abilities

Sunday, June 6, 2010 8:00 AM Concord - Start and Finish at Old Manse

The Challenge starts and ends at the Old Manse. Registration opens at 7AM and the race begins promptly at 8AM. Limited parking is available at the Old Manse. Please carpool if possible. Team photos will be taken between 7 and 7:45.

Join together with friends, neighbors and colleagues to support the Maynard Community Chest and participate in the 8th Annual Community Chest Challenge.

The spirit of the race is meeting a challenge through teamwork as demonstrated by the efforts of the many human service organizations supported by the Maynard and Concord-Carlisle Community Chests and the Acton-Boxboro United Way.

The relay triathlon is done in teams of 2-6 people with 2 people competing in each leg of the race: an 11.7-mile bike, a 3-mile run and a 2-mile canoe.

The minimum team contribution is $600 ($100 each for a team of 6).

There are many ways to support the Community Chest Challenge!
Read below to find out how to be involved...

  • Participate - Bike, run and/or paddle on a triathlon relay team and raise funds for the Maynard Community Chest (Recruit your own team of 2-6 people or we'll match you up with other athletes to form a team.)
  • Sponsor - a Maynard triathlon relay team (Let us know which Maynard team you want to support by writing the team name in the Designation line on the online form.)
  • Attend - a pre-race family friendly fundraiser at Morey's Tavern.
  • Donate - a raffle item to the Morey’s fundraiser
  • Volunteer - on the day of the event: Sunday, June 6th, 7:30-10:30 am

E-mail us if you can join our efforts or have any questions.
